About Bekal Gokulam

Born from devotion — built over 20 years

A living sanctuary for India’s indigenous cows and classical arts, rooted in the tradition of Shree Krishna
“Shree Krishna was a nature-loving environmentalist, a cowherd, and an unparalleled artist. We began this Goushala to unite all three — in one living place.”
— Shri Vishnu Prasad Hebbar, Founder
Our Vision

To protect India's indigenous cow breeds in the traditional way

“We will protect cows of local breeds from extinction and grow them the traditional way.” Every decision flows from this single vow.
How we have grown
Our journey — six defining moments

First indigenous Vechur cow and ox welcomed at Kannan’s farm, Alakkode. The Goushala begins.

Own land acquired. Goushala relocated and expanded. New rare breeds introduced. Numbers grow steadily.

Parampara Vidyapeetam founded — the cultural wing is born. Classical arts begin to enter the Goushala.

First Nadopasana launched. First Deepavali Sangeethotsavam — 12-day festival. The Goushala finds its voice.

Foundation stone laid for Shree Krishna Temple. Cows cross 200. Festivals grow in reach and reputation.

Vaishakha Natanam launched. 5 India + 5 Asia Book of Records. 230+ cows, 9+ breeds. A name across India.

Own land acquired. Goushala relocated and expanded. New rare breeds introduced. Numbers grow steadily.
