About the Goushala

What we are

A dharmic Goushala — not a dairy, not a farm. A sanctuary where 230+ indigenous cows of 9+ rare breeds live freely, are cared for traditionally, and are never sold or displaced.

What makes us unique

Classical music and dance are performed inside the Goushala as Gou Seva — an offering to the cows in the spirit of Shree Krishna. This is our identity and our practice.

Our commitment

Zero antibiotics. Zero chemicals. Indigenous grasses only. Traditional milking. No commercial milk sale. Every cow lives and dies here — that is the Goushala law.

Our Journey

First indigenous Vechur cow and ox welcomed at Kannan’s farm, Alakkode. The Goushala begins.

Own land acquired. Goushala relocated and expanded. New rare breeds introduced. Numbers grow steadily.

Parampara Vidyapeetam founded — the cultural wing is born. Classical arts begin to enter the Goushala.

First Nadopasana launched. First Deepavali Sangeethotsavam — 12-day festival. The Goushala finds its voice.

Foundation stone laid for Shree Krishna Temple. Cows cross 200. Festivals grow in reach and reputation.

Vaishakha Natanam launched. 5 India + 5 Asia Book of Records. 230+ cows, 9+ breeds. A name across India.
